for god, country, and coca cola 2

Summary
This section of the book was about the several designs for the coke bottle. It includes some pictures of original designs for the bottle. The first being very close to the classic shape today but a bit too wide for machines to process them. Some of the original bottles have straight sides rather than curves. The hobble skirt bottle design that is used even today was adopted in 1916.

Quote
"Benjamin Thomas and Joseph whitehead are the two portly lawyers who finally convinced aasa Candler to let them bottle Coca-Cola ."

Reaction
This quote explains how the bottle design all began. Two lawyers convinced Candler to bottle the soft drink and market it. They came up with designs that eventually lead up to the design we have today.
